help with the SMYRNA app
contact
Questions about the app or your ALLinOne? Email us at info@smyrna-design.de. If your question concerns a specific product, please include its passport code, for example DPP-4471-EU.
scanning the qr code
Tap Scan passport in the app and point the camera at the QR label on your ALLinOne. The passport opens by itself as soon as the code is recognised. In low light or with reflections, tap Flashlight in the top bar of the scanner (only shown if your device has a flashlight), or try changing the distance or angle. To send a passport to someone, tap Share passport in the top bar of the passport; your phone’s share menu opens with the passport’s permanent address.
To keep a passport at hand, even offline, tap Save passport in the top bar of the passport; it then appears on the start screen. To remove it, swipe it to the left there or tap the same button in the passport again. Saved passports are stored on your phone and are not sent to us.
if a code doesn’t work
- ‘This QR code is not a SMYRNA passport’: the camera has picked up a different QR code. Scan the QR label on your ALLinOne.
- ‘No passport found for …’: check the code character by character.
- ‘The passport could not be loaded’: check your internet connection and tap Try again.
You can also type in the passport code by tapping Enter code, including the hyphens as in DPP-4471-EU. Upper or lower case doesn’t matter. If it still doesn’t work, email us at info@smyrna-design.de, ideally with the passport code and a photo of the QR label.
camera access
The app only uses the camera to scan the QR code. If you declined access, open Settings on your iPhone, select SMYRNA (under Apps from iOS 18 onwards) and turn on Camera. If the camera doesn’t start, or you would rather not allow access, simply open the passport via Enter code.
repair, reuse and recycling
The passport has three sections for this. Under Repair, it shows the result of the last inspection and whether your ALLinOne is eligible for repair; inspections and service work are listed under Lifecycle, newest first. Under Reuse, you can see whether take-back is available, and under Recycle, the recycled content and recyclability of each material, where known.
Each of the three sections has its own button: Request repair, Request take-back / resale and Request recycling. Your mail app opens with a new email to us, with the type of request and the passport code already in the subject line. Nothing is sent until you tap Send yourself. If no mail app is set up, write to info@smyrna-design.de directly.
your data
The app needs no account and no sign-in. It contains no tracking and no ads. See our privacy policy for details.
